One year after the ground-breaking ceremony, the topping-out ceremony for the new medical technology production hall has now been celebrated at our site in Marktredwitz.

Just over a year after the ground-breaking ceremony, the topping-out ceremony for the new medical technology production hall in Marktredwitz was celebrated last Friday.The traditional topping-out speech by the foreman in traditional costume took place at a lofty height.He then toasted the success of the project three times with sparkling wine near the topping-out crown.

In the impressive building shell, Dr. Katrin Sternberg, President Medical, thanked everyone involved in the CeramTec project as well as the contractors and the responsible authorities for their commitment to the rapid progress of the construction work. District Administrator Peter Berek and the Mayor of Marktredwitz Oliver Weigel took the opportunity to emphasize the positive prospects for the region and the project in their speeches.

During the event, the guests also had the opportunity to take a look at the progress of the production hall and learn more about CeramTec's products.

The new building is a clear commitment by CeramTec to Germany as a production location and to medical technology “Made in Germany”. Completion of the extension is planned for 2026.
