In support of the growth strategy in our Factory Applications sector, we are looking to hire a highly motivated Sales Engineer to drive organic growth across Spain and Portugal. The Factory Applications team focuses on the design and manufacture of components for factory applications. This includes but is not limited to cutting tools.
You are likely to be based in Northern Spain and will quickly acquire application orientated knowledge to enable a solution focused, sales driven approach to develop and deliver projects with new and existing clients. Due to the geographical area, the position will involve a high level of travelling and you should be fluent in the local language as well as English or German.
Key duties of the position:
- Meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Acquiring and developing new business in Spain and Portugal
- Maintaining and expanding existing customers in the automotive, aerospace, general mechanical engineering, and the roll industry
- Conduct product presentations and provide technical advice on site
- Execute tests to optimize existing products as well as introducing new products to suit the customer’s requirements
- Forecast sales orders and assist the timely and successful delivery of goods
- Collaborate with the wider Factory Applications team and provide innovative sales solutions and strategies to improve the company’s overall performance year on year
Your Profile:
- You have at least 3 years of professional experience in sales after graduation
- Ideally you have a degree or equivalent qualification in a technical subject (engineering or science orientated)
- You have at least three years of professional experience in machining (cast iron and steel materials) and in dealing with customers in the automotive and aerospace industries
- Ideally you will have experience of working with sales partners
- Proven track record of building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
- Ideally experience working with Salesforce and SAP
- You will have a strong customer focus and be confident in dealing with a wide range of customers from different industries
